Founded in 2020, Orbita was created with a simple concept in mind, to challenge the modern furniture market with thought provoking and idea inspiring new works. The simple silhouettes of furniture are reimagined into a highly stylized new manner. By using strong materials each piece we make is made to last a life time and beyond. All of the products are made by hand in house and pass through a rigorous process from start to finish.
MEET THE TEAM
JOHN SCHLUTER
John Schluter is the founding designer behind Orbita Furniture. Creating art as a child brought him to the forefront of the furniture market. After receiving his BFA at University of Florida in 2016, John moved to New York City to start his career as an artist/designer. Orbita Furniture is a manifestation of the ideas that have sparked Johns interests throughout the years with his use of natural elements and perception of how we conceive space.
